July 4th Update - City of Carrollton
City Discontinues July 4 ‘Celebration’ to Focus on 2009 Event

The City Council has decided to forego the annual Independence Day Celebration and fireworks show held at Kelly Sports Complex in favor of creating a new signature event to begin in 2009. This will allow the City to create a unique new event for Carrollton, rather than compete with surrounding communities for July 4th attendees.

Details for the new event will be released on the city’s official website as they become available.

If you are looking for an alternative venue for your family, you can find July 4th events taking place in Lewisville, Coppell, The Colony and many other nearby cities. For an event in Carrollton, stop by the Historic Downtown Carrollton Square, located at I-35 and Belt Line Road, on Saturday, July 5th.

Thank you for your interest in City of Carrollton events. Have a safe and happy 4th of July.
